Weekend Results 9/3 - 9/4:
Lake Erie 9/2: Late Models were off...75 lap feature next week.
Lancaster 9/3: The Wollaber racing team had an quieter night tonight with only one division running as the TQ's and Late Models were off. Dave liked how the car was handling in the first practice so we put new tires on and waited for the heat. Dave started the first Mod heat last and began working on the outside right from the start. Early in the heat racing contact was made between Dave and the 12 which ended up with Dave heading for the outside wall of turn 4. Dave made a save and continued on. The caution came out a couple laps later allowing Dave to catch up to the field and start working his way forward. He slipped under the #1 car coming out of turn 4 to take second place in the heat. This would put us in the 6th starting position for the feature. Right at the drop of the green the #5 looked to be on its way to the front. In the first 2 laps Dave had moved his way up to 3d. After the restart on lap 3 the car seemed to loosen up and get worse and worse as the race progressed. Dave hung on to it and finished a solid 4th behind Scherrer, Sege, and Mangus. When Dave brought the #5 back to the pits we realized the support bracket for the panhard bar ripped right out of the roll bar tubing which caused the rear end to move further and further left each lap as the mount bent over, which made the car looser and looser. We are lucky the mount didn't completely fail, but still another night that shows how our season has been going. Congrats to #80 Brett Scherrer on his win.
WCIS 9/4: Dave took home the checkered flag at WCIS on Sunday in the TQ holding off the 14-year-old young gun Erick Rudolph.
